We're Social Commerce Accountants (SCA), and we've ranked ourselves first in this considered set of the top Amazon FBA accountants in the UK. On our published weighting we lead on settlement evidence. Tidy Money beats us on written scope, eAccounts on published entry price, and GM on displayed Google review volume. That's the disclosure, and the criteria and weights come before any ranking.
The seven are SCA, Tidy Money, Your Ecommerce Accountant, GM Professional Accountants, eAccounts, Bohzo and Fusion. This is the middle page of a three-part Amazon series: a five-firm shortlist, this considered set, then the wider market map.
You open the bank app. Amazon has paid you. What did you sell? I spend my days in settlement reports, and that question separates useful accountants from tidy bank feeds.
How did we rank these seven?
We ranked published evidence, not promises about private delivery. These weights explain why detailed settlement working beats a long services menu. They're editorial judgements, not audited scores.
| Criterion | Weight | What earns credit |
|---|---|---|
| Platform evidence depth | 30% | Worked settlements, fee detail and Amazon cases. |
| Marketplace VAT and settlement handling | 25% | Reserves, overseas stock, tax splits and month-end timing. |
| Published methodology and scope | 20% | A clear process, responsibilities and exclusions. |
| Specialisation focus | 15% | Specific Amazon and ecommerce expertise. |
| Independent public presence | 10% | Public reviews and an identifiable practice history. |
Settlement: Amazon's record connecting sales, deductions and withheld money to your payout.
Reserve: Money Amazon holds for later release, not automatically a fee.
Deemed supplier: Amazon is treated as the supplier for VAT on specified sales and accounts for that tax.
Where do we lose?
Tidy Money wins on its written scope checklist. eAccounts wins on published entry price. Your Ecommerce Accountant has its own connector and explicit one-off work. GM wins on displayed Google review volume: 150+ five-star reviews on its own site, more than any other firm here displays.
We publish no price and no review count. We use A2X rather than a proprietary connector. If those advantages matter most to you, move the relevant firm up your shortlist.
The seven firms, compared
Prices come from each firm's Amazon or pricing page, read 28 October 2026. Trustpilot observations share that date. Google figures below are firms' own site displays.
| Firm | Best for | Published price | Independent signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. SCA | Settlement evidence | Pricing is not publicly stated | No review count published |
| 2. Tidy Money | Written scope | Pricing is not publicly stated | No Trustpilot profile found |
| 3. Your Ecommerce Accountant | One-off work | From £50 monthly; £120 if VAT registered | Trustpilot: 4.7, 130 reviews |
| 4. GM | Annual compliance | Annual from £450 sole trader; £840 company, plus VAT | Trustpilot: 4.7, 26 reviews |
| 5. eAccounts | Entry price | From £29 plus VAT monthly | Trustpilot: 4.5; count unverified |
| 6. Bohzo | Visible packages | Monthly: £79, £129, £179; VAT status unstated | No published reviews yet |
| 7. Fusion | Named specialist | Pricing is not publicly stated | Trustpilot: 3.2, 12 reviews, legacy name |
1. Social Commerce Accountants
Best for: Amazon sellers from £1m to £15m+ who need stock, VAT and margin to agree with the accounts. We rank first because our published settlement evidence is the deepest of these seven.
Our Amazon sellers page, read 28 October 2026, describes A2X posting into Xero or QuickBooks, roughly 14-day settlement windows, month-end timing, 12 or more fee types by product code, reimbursements and monthly import VAT statements. A connector is software that moves Amazon records into your books.
Our already-published anonymised case, dated 22 August 2026, showed £750,000 in settlements against £580,000 booked from payouts. The £170,000 difference was fees and advertising never posted. Of that, £87,000 carried standard-rated VAT: divided by six, £14,500 recovered through error correction. Our dashboard reconciliation case study, published 15 October 2026, shows the same gap from the other direction.
The limitations are real: pricing is not publicly stated, there's no published review count and we use A2X. We don't provide statutory audit, an independent examination of annual accounts.
2. Tidy Money, trading as Ecom Accountants UK
Best for: knowing what you're buying before work starts. Led by Preetesh Parmar FCCA, Tidy Money publishes the strongest scope checklist here. Its Amazon FBA page asks you to name marketplaces, currencies, settlement periods, stock responsibilities, overseas filings and connector costs before accepting a written quote (read 28 October 2026).
Its illustration uses £10,000 sales, £500 refunds, £1,200 charges and £400 reserves to explain a £7,900 payout for a seller who isn't VAT registered. It's explicitly an illustration, not a client result. It flags duplicate revenue when imported orders and bank deposits both become sales.
That's useful accounting judgement. The limitation is visibility into delivery: it compares A2X and Link My Books without naming its production choice. Pricing is not publicly stated. Its Trustpilot domain page returned 404 on 28 October 2026, and its site displays no review count.
3. Your Ecommerce Accountant
Best for: one-off work and a firm-owned connector. Its Amazon page offers catch-up books, a single VAT quarter, last year's accounts and individual advice without a retainer or minimum term (read 28 October 2026).
It says EcomLedger reads settlements directly and separates fees, advertising and stock cost. Its argument that third-party tools lag Amazon changes is its claim, not our finding. Ask it to demonstrate. The firm names Ben Sztejka FCA and Otto Tibbles ACA and publishes a two-working-day reply commitment.
The price needs clarification. Alongside £50 monthly and £120 if VAT registered, another section says £65. Get the written quote. Its site displays Trustpilot 4.9, while the live profile showed 4.7 from 130 reviews on 28 October 2026.
Amazon is one of five channels served. We found no published Amazon settlement walkthrough or Amazon client case study.
4. GM Professional Accountants
Best for: annual accounts and tax with separately priced bookkeeping. Its Amazon page describes A2X into Xero, sales and VAT splits, and product profit after advertising and returns (read 28 October 2026).
It explicitly includes freight, duty and Amazon inbound charges in landed cost. That's the cost of getting stock ready to sell, not just your supplier's invoice. It also discusses VAT where stock is stored across Europe and compares sole trader and company treatment using clients' own figures.
The £450 plus VAT sole trader and £840 plus VAT company starting fees are annual compliance prices. Don't mistake them for monthly financial management.
Trustpilot showed 4.7 from 26 reviews on 28 October 2026; its site displayed Google 5.0 with 150+ five-star reviews. The limitation is focus: Amazon sits beside construction, property, healthcare and other sectors. We found no Amazon client case study.
5. eAccounts
Best for: the lowest published entry price, backed by a substantial displayed Google review base. Its Amazon FBA page advertises £29 plus VAT monthly including a dedicated accountant, Xero, Link My Books, VAT returns and year-end accounts (read 28 October 2026).
The page explains VAT on Amazon fees and covers EU VAT schemes. It states Xero Platinum Partner status and was reviewed by Kristian Corbisiero ACCA in October 2026. You can identify who reviewed its tax explanation.
Trustpilot displayed 4.5 on 28 October 2026. We couldn't establish a consistent review count across cached views. Its own site displayed Google 5.0 from 77 reviews.
The limitation: transaction splits are described without a worked settlement. Some FAQs repeat generic platform material. This is a specialist across ecommerce platforms, and its starting package isn't a quote for your £1m to £20m brand.
6. Bohzo Accountants
Best for: reading package prices before making contact. Its Amazon sellers page says it reads settlement reports rather than bank deposits and separates marketplace-collected VAT from VAT the seller must account for (read 28 October 2026).
The published monthly tiers are £79 for one channel under £85,000 turnover, £129 for multiple channels plus VAT work, and £179 including inventory accounting. The page doesn't say whether VAT is added to those fees. Ask.
I like the explicit stock tier. Inventory accounting means recording stock value and recognising its cost when sold. You need to know who does it.
Bohzo was incorporated in July 2023, making it the youngest practice here. Its page says verified reviews will appear as engagements complete. There are none published yet, and its Trustpilot domain page returned 404 on 28 October 2026.
7. Fusion Accountants
Best for: a London practice with recognisable credentials and a named Amazon specialist. Fusion names Jawaad Hussain, ACCA qualified and with the firm since 2015. It displays ICAEW member firm, ATT, Xero Platinum and QuickBooks Platinum credentials.
Its Amazon page covers settlement reconciliation in Xero, FBA and FBM transactions, fees, refunds, stock costs and monthly margin reporting by marketplace (read 28 October 2026). It says software supports the accounting rather than replacing it. Agreed.
The limitation is depth of public working: no settlement walkthrough, and the case study combines landlord and ecommerce activity rather than documenting an Amazon brand. Pricing is not publicly stated.
Trustpilot showed 3.2 from 12 reviews on 28 October 2026 under the legacy 1 Stop Accountants name. That name matches its company history. It's a small sample containing warm and critical reviews, so read the substance.
What changes on 2 November, and what it exposes
Amazon's 19 October 2026 Seller Central announcement raises the fuel and logistics surcharge from 1.5% to 2% on 2 November 2026 for UK and listed European FBA fulfilment fees. It applies to fulfilment fees, not selling prices (read 28 October 2026).
For 1,500 units monthly at an average £3.10 fulfilment fee:
- 1,500 x £3.10 = £4,650 monthly fulfilment fees.
- At 1.5%: £69.75. At 2%: £93.00.
- Increase: £23.25 monthly, or £279 annually.
- Per unit: 4.65p becomes 6.2p, a 1.55p increase.
That's consistent with Amazon's approximate 2p European average, which varies by item. At 15,000 units monthly, the same change costs £232.50 monthly, or £2,790 annually. Multi-Channel Fulfilment, Amazon shipping orders from other sales channels, changes on 19 November.
The increase is small per unit and large in aggregate. The point isn't the 2p. Amazon changes fee lines mid-year. Books treating the payout as one bank line never see them separately.
Ask each firm to split one real settlement into turnover, VAT, fees, reserve and cash, then reconcile it to the payout. Add stock evidence: our inventory and reimbursements walkthrough shows what that next conversation involves.
How do you run your own shortlist in half an hour?
Your first half-hour should produce a brief and a smaller set of firms to test. It won't complete due diligence. If your worst problem is unexplained stock value, prioritise stock working. If it's a disputed handover bill, prioritise scope. The same seven can produce different sensible shortlists.
- Define the model. FBA means Amazon fulfils; FBM means you do. List marketplaces, currencies and countries holding stock.
- Name your three worst failures. Missing reserves, unexplained stock losses or month-end sales in the wrong period. Make the meeting about those.
- Request a demonstration. Use your settlement data. Ask what happens when a reserve is released.
- Get the annual scope and cost in writing. Include connectors, setup, cleanup, overseas filings and VAT on fees. Compare the same work.
- Check public evidence. Read independent reviews and statutory filing history. A registration date proves existence, not Amazon competence.
- Assign ownership. Name who supplies stock counts and who submits reimbursement claims. Software doesn't own deadlines.
Keep the demonstrations comparable. Give each firm the same settlement and the same questions. Ask who checks the automated posting and what happens when it doesn't balance. A convincing explanation should survive your follow-up questions.
Who is not in the seven?
More Than Accountants showed Trustpilot 4.9 from 801 reviews, but its Amazon page offered generic seller bullets without a settlement method (read 28 October 2026). That volume generalist belongs in the wider market map.
GoEcom matches sellers to firms; it isn't an accountancy practice. Its advertised £44 monthly starting point is indicative, with the matched firm confirming the quote. Seller Bookkeeping UK presents itself as a bookkeeping service. E2E Accounting's page failed on 27 October, loaded on 28 October, but wasn't fully reviewed in time. It isn't ranked.
What could we not verify?
- Ratings and volumes are dated public displays, not audits. Unverified Trustpilot counts are marked.
- No Amazon client case study was found for Tidy Money, Your Ecommerce Accountant, GM or Fusion.
- Bohzo has no published reviews yet.
- Starting prices aren't quotes for a £1m to £20m brand.
- Our ranking expresses judgement on published evidence, not measurements of private delivery.
- E2E wasn't reviewed.
What do founders ask before switching?
Can I switch accountants without changing my Amazon software?
Ask the incoming firm which connectors it supports and who owns access. Require a handover covering unreconciled reserves, stock balances and VAT. Agree the opening figures before importing transactions again.
Does Amazon collecting VAT remove my own registration obligation?
No. For a UK business, HMRC's registration rules include taxable turnover above £90,000 over the last 12 months, or expected above £90,000 in the next 30 days. Marketplace collection doesn't replace checking your own position.
Should I choose the cheapest monthly package?
Only after comparing scope. Annual accounts, monthly stock accounting and overseas filings are different jobs. A low entry price is useful information; a written quote for your actual business is the decision.
I wouldn't appoint anyone from a comparison table alone. Put your awkward settlement in front of the firms that fit.
Choose the team that can explain the difference between sales and cash, show its working and put responsibility in writing. Your next stock order needs numbers you can trust.
