This is a ten-firm UK market map for Amazon founders starting their accountant search, especially brands turning over £1m to £20m. We are Social Commerce Accountants (SCA), and we ranked ourselves first. I weighted published platform evidence, VAT handling, scope, specialisation and public presence. We don't win on published entry prices or review volume. Use the tiers to choose the kind of practice you need before choosing a name. It follows a five-firm shortlist and a seven-firm considered set on the same platform, and this page is the wider map.
How did I rank these ten firms?
| Criterion | Weight | What I look for |
|---|---|---|
| Platform evidence depth | 30% | Worked sales-to-payout examples, stock checks and fee splits. |
| Marketplace VAT and settlement handling | 25% | Clear responsibility for tax, refunds, reserves and month-end splits. |
| Published methodology and scope | 20% | Named tools, deliverables and boundaries you can question. |
| Specialisation focus | 15% | Evidence that marketplace work drives the practice's offer. |
| Independent public presence | 10% | Dated reviews, credentials and visible operating history. |
These are editorial judgements on published evidence, not audited scores. I work in settlement reports daily, so showing the working carries weight. A settlement report explains how sales become a payout after deductions and adjustments. Ratings below are dated public displays, not audits. Missing public evidence doesn't prove missing capability.
Where do we not win?
Our published evidence, reviewed 29 October 2026, includes no price or review count. That makes us harder to compare on budget and review volume. We use A2X rather than a firm-owned connector, and we don't provide statutory audit. An audit is an independent examination of company accounts. If either is essential, we aren't your automatic choice.
How should you read this map?
These are buying tiers. Some practices bridge them; the profiles explain the fit.
| Tier | Starting points | Founder fit |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon-first specialists | SCA and Tidy Money for platform evidence; eAccounts for published entry price; Ecommerce Accountants for founder experience | Your stock, settlements and channel margins drive the brief. |
| Outsourced managed practice | E2E Accounting | You want finance administration and a managed team. |
| Volume generalist | More Than Accountants | You prioritise a packaged service and price visibility. |
The examples reflect each firm's own pages, read 29 October 2026. This is the broad search map: a higher rank doesn't make every lower-ranked firm a worse fit.

1. Social Commerce Accountants (SCA)
Best for: Amazon sellers from £1m needing stock, VAT and margin to agree with accounts. Our Amazon sellers page, read 29 October 2026, describes roughly 14-day settlements crossing month-end, 12 or more fee types and monthly stock and reimbursement reconciliation. Reconciliation proves that records agree. Its 25% to 40% dashboard-to-deposit gap is our published figure, not an industry statistic.
Our anonymised case, published 22 August 2026 and read 29 October 2026, records £750,000 in settlements against £580,000 booked from payouts. The £170,000 difference was unposted fees and advertising; £87,000 carried standard-rated VAT. Dividing by six gave £14,500 recovered through error correction. This is the deepest published settlement working here, earning first place under these weights. The limitation: no public price or review count, A2X rather than our own connector, and no statutory audit.
2. Tidy Money, trading as Ecom Accountants UK
Best for: knowing the scope before work starts. Its Amazon FBA page, read 29 October 2026, asks about marketplaces, currencies, settlement periods, stock responsibilities, overseas filings and connector costs before quoting. That's a useful buying discipline: somebody must own each job.
Its illustration takes £10,000 sales, subtracts £500 refunds, £1,200 charges and £400 reserve, leaving £7,900 for a seller who isn't VAT registered. A reserve is money Amazon holds back. The page labels this an illustration, not a client result. It compares A2X and Link My Books without identifying its production choice. The limits are no public price and no Amazon client case found. Its Trustpilot domain page returned 404 on 28 October 2026. I'd request a scoped proposal and example month-end output.
3. Your Ecommerce Accountant
Best for: one-off work and a firm-owned connector. Its Amazon page, read 29 October 2026, offers catch-up books, a single VAT quarter, last year's accounts and individual advice without an ongoing contract. EcomLedger reads settlements directly. A connector moves marketplace data into the accounting system. The page also commits to replies within two working days.
Pricing needs clarification: it quotes from £50 monthly, £120 if VAT registered, and separately £65 fixed monthly with no minimum term. Get your figure in writing. Its site displays Trustpilot 4.9 and links to 114 reviews; the live Trustpilot profile, checked 29 October 2026, showed 4.7 from 130. Amazon is one of five channels. No published Amazon settlement walkthrough or client case was found, so test the reporting depth.
4. GM Professional Accountants
Best for: annual compliance and tax, with bookkeeping priced separately. Its Amazon page, read 29 October 2026, describes Seller Central into Xero through A2X, VAT handling, stock tracking and monthly profit per ASIN after fees, advertising and returns. An ASIN is Amazon's product identifier. It includes freight, duty and Amazon inbound fees in landed cost: the cost of getting stock ready to sell.
The page quotes annual fees from £450 plus VAT for sole traders and £840 plus VAT for companies. Those are annual compliance prices, not monthly management packages. Trustpilot, checked 28 October 2026, showed 4.7 from 26 reviews. Its site navigation, checked 29 October 2026, lists Amazon alongside construction, property, healthcare and restaurants. No Amazon client case was found. Check which monthly deliverables your quote actually includes.
5. eAccounts
Best for: the lowest published entry price here, with a substantial displayed review base. Its Amazon page, read 29 October 2026, advertises fixed fees from £29 plus VAT monthly, covering a dedicated accountant, Xero through Link My Books, VAT returns, year-end accounts and the tax return. Confirm which starting package fits your transaction volume.
The site displays Xero Platinum Advisors, Cyber Essentials certification, 1,000+ UK businesses and Google 5.0 from 77 reviews. The page was reviewed by Kristian Corbisiero ACCA in October 2026. The fit limitation is evidence depth: transaction splits are described without a worked settlement. Trustpilot showed 4.5 on 28 October 2026, but cached review counts differed, so I won't assert one. Ask to see the output behind that attractive starting price.
6. Bohzo Accountants
Best for: reading package prices before making contact. Its Amazon sellers page, read 29 October 2026, says it reads settlement reports rather than bank deposits and separates marketplace-collected VAT from VAT the seller owes. That distinction deserves a place in any scope discussion.
Monthly tiers are £79 for one channel below £85,000 turnover, £129 for multiple channels including VAT work, and £179 including inventory accounting. Those figures don't state whether VAT is added. Companies House, checked 29 October 2026, records Bohzo Ltd's incorporation on 26 July 2023, making it the youngest practice here. No published client reviews were found; its Trustpilot domain page returned 404. Test team capacity and inventory deliverables before choosing.
7. Fusion Accountants
Best for: a London practice with recognisable credentials and a named Amazon specialist. Its Amazon page, read 29 October 2026, covers settlement reconciliation in Xero, fees, refunds, stock costs and monthly margin by marketplace. It names Jawaad Hussain ACCA, with the firm since 2015, and displays ICAEW member firm, ATT, Xero Platinum and QuickBooks Platinum Pro Advisor credentials.
The limitation is the published working. No settlement walkthrough was found, and its case study combines landlord and ecommerce work rather than documenting an Amazon brand. Pricing isn't published; its pricing page returned 404. Trustpilot, checked 28 October 2026, showed 3.2 from 12 reviews under the legacy 1 Stop Accountants name. That's a small, mixed sample. I'd assess the named team's proposed work alongside it.
8. Ecommerce Accountants
Best for: a founder-led specialist with visible client video. Its own pages, read 29 October 2026, say founder Joe Cox is a chartered certified accountant who started a private label Amazon business in 2013 and registered the firm in 2016. Private label means selling products under your own brand. The homepage displays a Xero Awards winner badge and 500+ business clients.
Its Amazon page includes named video testimonials from business founders. I'd use those to frame reference questions about reporting, stock and month-end delivery. The limitation is that the page offers testimonials and positioning rather than a settlement method. No pricing page was found; /pricing returned 404. Its unclaimed Trustpilot profile, checked 29 October 2026, had one review at 3.2. One review cannot carry a buying decision.
9. E2E Accounting
Best for: an outsourced managed finance function. Its Amazon accountants page, read 29 October 2026, covers bookkeeping, VAT and sales tax, profit and loss tracking, filings across jurisdictions and admin assistant support. Outsourcing means paying an external team to run agreed finance jobs. The page says it is trusted by 300+ UK businesses and is an ACCA Approved Employer.
This is the managed-practice route on the map. The fit limitation is platform specificity: the page describes services without a settlement method or published price. Its published testimonials name clients in IT, relocation, cosmetics and music, not Amazon sellers. That doesn't establish weak delivery; it leaves Amazon delivery unproven publicly. Ask who owns the settlement, stock and VAT checks, and request a sample monthly pack.
10. More Than Accountants
Best for: a founder who wants a fast fixed quote from a volume generalist. Its Amazon FBA quote page, read 29 October 2026, displays Trustpilot 4.9 from 801 reviews and an AI-assisted funnel returning an exact monthly price. It includes an allowance for marketplace payout banking, a multi-currency add-on and Xero bookkeeping on its Unlimited package.
That gives you concrete quote questions: which package, which currencies, and what allowance? The limitation is the Amazon detail. Its page offers generic seller bullets without a settlement method, and Amazon is one of many sectors. Test that detail in the quote conversation. A quick price is useful; for a complex brand, I would still ask for a demonstration of how the proposed team handles month-end settlements and stock.
What does the 2 November surcharge expose?
Amazon Seller Central's 19 October announcement, read 28 October 2026, raises the fuel and logistics surcharge from 1.5% to 2% for FBA on 2 November. FBA means Amazon stores and fulfils your orders. The surcharge applies to fulfilment fees, not selling price. Referral fees, the bigger line for most sellers, sit between 8% and 15% on Amazon's own pricing page, read 29 October 2026.
At 1,500 units monthly with an average £3.10 fulfilment fee, monthly fulfilment fees are £4,650. The surcharge moves from £69.75 to £93.00: £23.25 extra monthly, or £279 annually. Per unit, 4.65p becomes 6.2p, an increase of 1.55p.
At 15,000 units, fees are £46,500. The surcharge rises from £697.50 to £930.00: £232.50 monthly, £2,790 annually. Multi-Channel Fulfilment changes on 19 November 2026; that's Amazon fulfilling orders from other sales channels. Annual figures assume the same monthly volume for 12 months.
Fee changes hit clients in every tier. Only settlement-level accounting shows where they land. Ask each firm to demonstrate the split. Our reconciliation guide, inventory guide and dashboard reconciliation case study give you a starting point.
Who is not on the map?
These are scope decisions, based on each service's own pages read 29 October 2026. Unicorn Accountants' Amazon page offers cash flow, compliance and profit messaging without a settlement method or public price: insufficient platform evidence to rank.
GoEcom introduces sellers to firms; its indicative £44 monthly starting price comes with the matched practice confirming the final quote. Seller Bookkeeping UK presents itself as a bookkeeping service. AVASK's pages centre on VAT and compliance, including European registrations and customs clearance, rather than a full accountancy offering. TrueBooks posts Amazon settlements into Xero as software, not as an accountant. Each serves a different brief.
What could we not verify?
- Private delivery quality or capacity from published pages.
- A comparable quote for the same £1m to £20m brand.
- Unpublished Amazon cases or settlement processes.
- Inconsistent review counts and inaccessible pages noted above.
What do founders ask about choosing a firm?
Which tier should a £1m Amazon brand start with?
Start with platform evidence when stock, VAT and settlements drive your decisions. Bring the same settlement and stock questions to every tier.
Does a low monthly price cover everything?
Don't assume it does. Get stock accounting, connector costs, overseas filings and monthly reporting written into the quote.
When must a UK seller register for VAT?
GOV.UK's registration rules, read 29 October 2026, require registration above £90,000 taxable turnover over the last 12 months, or when you expect to exceed £90,000 in the next 30 days.
Pick the tier. Demand the working. Then choose the firm that can explain your money down to the settlement.
