We are Social Commerce Accountants (SCA), and we rank ourselves first in this shortlist of the best Amazon FBA accountants in the UK: 88/100 for published settlement evidence. We used the five weighted criteria below. We do not win on published pricing, written scope or review volume. Tidy Money, Your Ecommerce Accountant, GM Professional Accountants and eAccounts complete our shortlist.

How did we rank these Amazon accountants?

This is a buyer's shortlist for UK FBA and FBM sellers, researched on 27 October 2026. I spend my days in settlement reports. I give more credit to a firm showing its working than a page promising to save you tax.

CriterionWeightWhat earns credit
Platform evidence depth30%Checkable settlement, fee, inventory and reimbursement work beyond a service page.
Marketplace VAT and settlement handling25%Deemed supplier boundaries, VAT inside fees, reserves and deferred transactions, month-end cut-off, import VAT.
Published methodology and scope20%Seeing what the work includes, and what it costs, before paying.
Specialisation focus15%Amazon and ecommerce as the day job, not one tile in a general practice.
Independent public presence10%Dated review volumes, statutory filings, named regulated people.
  • A settlement is the platform's breakdown of what it owes you.
  • A reserve is money held back until released.
  • Deemed supplier means the marketplace becomes responsible for VAT on certain sales.

Where do we lose?

These firms beat us on specific buying criteria. Evidence is from their own pages, read 27 October 2026:

  • Published methodology and scope: Tidy Money. Its Amazon FBA page spells out marketplaces, inventory responsibilities, exclusions and software charges before acceptance.
  • Published entry price: eAccounts. Its Amazon page starts at £29 plus VAT monthly. We publish no price.
  • Own connector: Your Ecommerce Accountant. Its Amazon page names its own EcomLedger software. We use A2X.
  • Explicit one-off menu: Your Ecommerce Accountant. It offers individual VAT quarters, catch-up work and advice calls without a minimum term.
  • Review volume: GM Professional Accountants. It displays 150+ five-star Google reviews. We publish no review count. That gives it the stronger public review signal.

Which five firms made the shortlist?

The scores are ours. The weighting is published above. If price or review volume matters more to you, reorder the list yourself. These are judgements about published evidence, not measurements of private delivery.

This is the shortlist. The seven-firm comparison and the wider market map follow in this series.

1. Social Commerce Accountants: best for settlement evidence

Best for: Amazon sellers from £1m to £15m+ who need stock, VAT and margin to agree with the accounts.

Our Amazon accounting scope describes A2X into Xero or QuickBooks, settlement-by-settlement reconciliation and splitting settlement windows at month end. It covers fees by product code (SKU), reimbursements before expiry, marketplace-collected VAT separated from the seller's own liability, postponed VAT accounting (PVA) import statements, FBA stock valuation and VAT flags for stock across EU countries (read 27 October 2026).

Here is the evidence beyond the service page:

The August article includes an anonymised seven-figure private label case. Books showed £580,000 of gross sales from net payouts; settlements showed £750,000. Hidden fees and advertising totalled £170,000. Of that, £87,000 carried standard-rated VAT, including £14,500 recovered through HMRC's error correction process.

That is checkable working. We state Xero Silver Partner and QuickBooks ProAdvisor credentials. Our limitations are equally clear: no published price or review count, no proprietary connector and no statutory audit.

2. Tidy Money: best for knowing exactly what you are buying

Best for: sellers who want responsibilities and exclusions written down before signing.

Tidy Money Ltd, trading as Ecom Accountants UK, wins our published scope comparison. Its Amazon FBA page separates marketplaces, currencies, stock counts, management reports and overseas filings. Setup, cleanup, connector subscriptions and VAT on the fee must be confirmed before acceptance (read 27 October 2026).

Its free illustration is useful: £10,000 sales, £500 refunds, £1,200 charges and £400 reserve leave £7,900 cash. The £400 still needs reconciling when released. It labels this an illustration, not a client result.

It also identifies duplicate revenue from importing orders and then posting deposits as sales, plus reserves wrongly treated as fees. Preetesh Parmar FCCA leads the practice; Companies House records company 06509733, incorporated 20 February 2008 (About page and statutory record, read 27 October 2026).

Limitation: pricing is not publicly stated; its pricing page offers a fixed written quote. It compares A2X and Link My Books without naming its production choice. We found no review count or Amazon client case study.

3. Your Ecommerce Accountant: best for one-off help and its own connector

Best for: sellers wanting a specific problem fixed without a continuing retainer.

Its Amazon page lists last year's accounts, catch-up bookkeeping, VAT registration, a single quarter, HMRC enquiries and individual advice calls, with no minimum term. Monthly service starts at £50, or £120 if VAT registered, with a fixed quote before work begins (read 27 October 2026).

EcomLedger, its own connector, reads settlements directly. The firm says reporting separates Amazon fees, pay-per-click advertising (PPC) and stock cost. It calls A2X and Link My Books unsuitable for its purposes. That is its claim, not our finding.

Trading through Your Cloud Accountant Limited, it says it is ICAEW regulated. Its team page names Ben Sztejka FCA and Otto Tibbles ACA. It works exclusively with online sellers across five channels (Amazon, About and team pages, read 27 October 2026).

Limitation: Amazon is one of those five channels. We found no published Amazon settlement walkthrough or Amazon client case study. Its displayed Trustpilot 4.9 and Google 5.0 have no review volumes.

4. GM Professional Accountants: best for review volume and annual compliance

Best for: sellers comparing annual accounts and tax work with optional bookkeeping.

Its Amazon page describes A2X into Xero, settlements split into sales, fees, refunds and VAT, and profit per ASIN, Amazon's product identifier. It includes PPC, returns and landed stock cost, meaning freight, duty and inbound fees. It also addresses marketplace-collected VAT and Pan-EU storage (read 27 October 2026).

Published annual accounts and tax return fees start at £450 plus VAT for sole traders and £840 plus VAT for limited companies. Bookkeeping is optional and separately priced. Those are annual compliance fees, not a monthly finance function.

It states MAAT-qualified accountants, HMRC agent registration and professional indemnity insurance, and displays Google 5.0 with 150+ five-star reviews (its site, read 27 October 2026).

Limitation: Amazon sits alongside construction, restaurants, retail and property. We found no Amazon client case study.

5. eAccounts: best for the lowest published entry price

Best for: sellers starting with a tight budget who will check the included work carefully.

Its Amazon FBA page advertises fees from £29 plus VAT monthly, a dedicated accountant, Xero included, Link My Books, VAT returns and year-end accounts. It covers EU VAT, including the OSS and IOSS sales reporting schemes and stock held across EU countries (read 27 October 2026).

Its explanation of UK VAT on Amazon fees, reverse charging for fulfilment outside Great Britain and Flat Rate Scheme restrictions is useful. The page was reviewed by Kristian Corbisiero ACCA in October 2026.

It states Xero Platinum Partner status and Cyber Essentials certification and displays Google 5.0 from 77 reviews (its site, read 27 October 2026).

Limitation: the page describes transaction splits without a worked settlement; several FAQs repeat generic platform material. This is an ecommerce specialist rather than an Amazon-only practice.

Can they turn one settlement into a set of accounts?

You open the bank app. Amazon has paid £38,120. What did you sell?

This is an illustration, not a client result and not a fee quote. Assume one settlement period for a UK-established, VAT-registered limited company selling standard-rated goods at 20%, using standard VAT accounting. Fee VAT recovery assumes valid invoices, following HMRC's VAT record rules (read 27 October 2026).

Gross sales are £60,000 including VAT; refunds are £4,800 including VAT. That leaves £55,200: £46,000 turnover plus £9,200 output VAT, the VAT charged on sales.

Settlement lineAmount
Sales after refunds, including VAT£55,200
Referral fee deducted£8,280
FBA fulfilment deducted£5,580
Storage deducted£720
Reserve and deferred balance held£2,500
Payout to bank£38,120

Check: £55,200 minus £8,280 minus £5,580 minus £720 minus £2,500 equals £38,120.

  • Referral is assumed at 15% of the VAT-inclusive sales price: £8,280, comprising £6,900 cost and £1,380 VAT.
  • Fulfilment is 1,500 units at £3.10 excluding VAT: £4,650 plus £930 VAT.
  • Storage is £600 plus £120 VAT.
  • Advertising is £2,000 plus £400 VAT, charged to the seller account card, outside this settlement.

Now compare correct books with treating the payout as VAT-inclusive sales. Both versions record the card advertising correctly. Figures are rounded to whole pounds.

LineCorrect treatmentPayout booked as sales
Turnover£46,000£31,767
Output VAT£9,200£6,353
Commission cost£6,900Nothing recorded
Fulfilment and storage£5,250Nothing recorded
Advertising£2,000£2,000
Profit before stock cost£31,850£29,767
Reserve receivable£2,500Nothing recorded
  • Turnover is £14,233 light, about 31% of the real figure.
  • Output VAT is £2,847 light.
  • Input VAT, the VAT paid on costs, of £2,430 on referral, fulfilment and storage is never reclaimed. The net VAT shortfall is only £417 while the gross figures are badly wrong. That is exactly why a net bank line is not a set of accounts.
  • Profit is £2,083 light in this period. The profit and loss has no commission, fulfilment or storage line, so nobody can see the effective fee rate.

Ask each firm to put one real settlement into turnover, VAT, fees, reserve and cash before you sign. Booking the payout as sales fails before price enters the conversation.

What should you ask before signing?

  • Will you demonstrate the settlement reconciliation, including money still held?
  • Who splits transactions across month end and checks marketplace-collected VAT?
  • Who owns stock counts, import VAT statements and reimbursement tracking?
  • Does the annual total include bookkeeping, connectors, setup, cleanup and overseas filings? Is VAT additional?
  • What changes for FBM, where you fulfil orders yourself, rather than FBA stock held by Amazon?

Who is outside the five, and why?

These are research exclusions, not quality verdicts. Sources are each firm's own pages, read 27 October 2026.

  • Bohzo Accountants: a real Amazon method and clear monthly fees from £79, with tiers at £129 and £179. Its site says verified client reviews will appear as engagements complete. There is no independent public signal to weigh yet.
  • More Than Accountants: displays Trustpilot 4.9 from 801 reviews, and its site headline advertises fixed fees from £15 a month. Its Amazon page offers generic seller bullets and a quote funnel without a settlement method. We classify it as a price-led generalist.
  • GoEcom: a matching service, not an accountancy practice. Its advertised £44 monthly starting point is indicative; the matched firm confirms the quote.
  • Seller Bookkeeping UK: presents itself as a bookkeeping service rather than an accountancy practice.
  • E2E Accounting: its site did not respond on 27 October 2026, so we could not verify its Amazon claims.

What could we not verify?

  • Ratings and counts are firms' own displays on 27 October 2026. We could not independently load their Trustpilot profiles.
  • Public claims do not prove private delivery quality or client outcomes.
  • We found no Amazon client case study for Tidy Money, Your Ecommerce Accountant or GM Professional Accountants.
  • Bohzo's unpublished client reviews leave its delivery record unassessed.
  • Published starting prices are not quotes for a £1m to £20m brand.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best Amazon FBA accountant in the UK?

On our published weighting, SCA leads for settlement evidence. Tidy Money wins on written scope; eAccounts has the lowest published entry price. Choose against the job you need done.

Do these firms work with Amazon FBM sellers too?

This shortlist covers UK FBA and FBM buyers. Get written confirmation of your fulfilment model, marketplaces and stock responsibilities before accepting a quote.

Should I choose by software or by monthly fee?

Start with a settlement demonstration. A2X, Link My Books or an owned connector still needs someone accountable for mapping, VAT and month end. Then compare the full annual scope and cost.

Your next accountant should explain where every pound went. Put a settlement on the table. Make them show you. We hold ourselves to that test too.
