An enquiry outside your focus.
A growing online brand approaches you, but its channels, stock and reporting needs sit outside your preferred client mix.
Your practice has a direction. We help when ecommerce takes a different one.
Refer a suitable Shopify, Amazon or TikTok Shop client, or explore a carefully managed transfer of ecommerce recurring fees.
No client names or files needed to start.
Agreed together. Always the client's choice.
You can be happy serving most of your clients while deciding ecommerce is not the next area you want to grow. A specialist relationship gives you somewhere thoughtful to turn.
A growing online brand approaches you, but its channels, stock and reporting needs sit outside your preferred client mix.
New marketplaces, international sales or more demanding monthly reporting call for a different setup.
You want to simplify your service mix, free capacity or plan an orderly handover of ecommerce fees.
Different arrangements.
The same care for your client relationships.
Introduce us with the client's permission. We'll assess fit, explain our scope and fees directly, and keep the handover clear for everyone.
Start with an anonymised outline. We can discuss a structure and managed transition, subject to fit, diligence, agreed terms and each client's choice.
An existing client can also be introduced individually. You don't need to sell a block of fees to make a referral.
Marketplace settlements, fees, refunds, VAT and stock. We connect the moving parts so growing brands have a clearer monthly view.
Payouts, fees and refunds connected back to the ledger, by channel.
Inventory, import VAT and marketplace complexity considered together.
Reporting that helps founders understand performance and make decisions.
The first call is about fit. We don't need client names or access to their records to have it.

Set out the commercial arrangement, confidentiality, communications and any diligence or transition responsibilities.
Take the agreed client-facing steps, with appropriate permissions and a clear explanation of who does what.
Start with an anonymised description. Agree how further information is shared.
Agree the introduction and handover messages before approaching anyone.
Document the arrangement, addressing the relevant disclosure and consent requirements.
Every client remains free to decide who acts for them. Nothing transfers automatically.

I'm Sam Hoye, founder of Social Commerce Accountants. Whether it's an enquiry that isn't right for your practice or a group of fees you may want to transfer, we can talk it through.
Speak with SamWe are primarily set up for established Shopify, Amazon and TikTok Shop brands, typically between £1m and £20m in annual revenue. Fit also depends on channels, scope, current systems and the support the founder wants. We can discuss an uncertain case without naming the client initially.
Yes. A block of ecommerce fees can be discussed on its own, without involving the rest of your practice. Clients always choose their accountant, so any transition happens through an agreed, per-client process. We would only look at the ecommerce work you want to move, and the rest of your client base stays with you.
Yes. An individual introduction and a block-of-fees transaction are different arrangements. We will agree the route and terms before a client-facing step.
We can discuss appropriate commercial terms for suitable introductions. Any arrangement will be documented and handled with the applicable professional disclosure and client-consent requirements. We do not publish a universal rate.
There is no automatic multiple. We would first look at anonymised recurring fees, service scope, delivery workload, fee collection, client fit, transition needs and likely retention. A proposal follows diligence and agreed terms.
No. Begin with the broad facts. If the conversation progresses, we will agree what information can be shared, when, and on what basis.
No. Clients choose their accountant. We would agree an orderly communication and handover process with you, and only proceed with each client appropriately.
That is fine. We can assess individual referrals or an appropriate subset of a portfolio. There is no requirement to transfer an entire practice or every ecommerce client.
An introduction can be relatively simple once fit and process are agreed. A portfolio discussion takes longer because scope, terms, diligence and client communication need proper attention. We will agree a realistic timetable rather than promise an arbitrary completion date.
Start with the broad shape of it.
We'll work out the right next step together.
